Sofie Roque RMT/Owner
Sofia Roque was born in Angola, Africa but raised in Canada, which has been her home since the age of 2. She speaks English and Portuguese fluently. Sofie graduated from Kikkawa College for Massage Therapy and has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1994. In 1999 Sofie and her sister Martha opened Seraphic Massage Therapy Clinic. Sofie is skilled in Pregnancy Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Treatments, Reflexology and Infant Massage.
Martha Roque RMT/Owner
Martha Roque graduated from Kikkawa College and became a Registered Massage Therapist in 1999. She immediately opened Seraphic Massage Therapy with her sister and partner Sofia Roque.
Martha has since studied Reiki and incorporates this relaxing energy work into her treatments. Martha is experienced in Pre-Natal massage and has much success with inducing labour for overdue pregnancies. She is also adept at treating headaches, TMJ and shoulder tension. Martha Speaks fluent Portuguese, and understands Italian and Spanish.
Caterina (Rina) Modafferi RMT
Caterina graduated from ICT Kikkawa College in June 2009. She was registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in August 2009 and since then has been enjoying her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Caterina's successful treatments derive from her acquired knowledge, effective techniques and caring approach towards her client's overall health. Caterina has had experience treating clients of all ages and a variety of conditions. She is experienced and skilled in pregnancy massage, reflexology, repetitive strain injuries, deep tissue massage and TMJ therapy.
Annette Broderick-Colombo RMT
Annette graduated from Sutherland-Chan in May of 2010 and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists Association of Ontario.
Annette's focus in school included spinal cord injury, chronic pain and rehabilitation. She believes that the techniques used in massage therapy can not only aid in the physical health, but the emotional as well.
Arica is a Registered Massage Therapist, Craniosacral Therapist, and Energy Medicine Practitioner. Healing is her passion, and she has been studying various therapeutic modalities, including Shiatsu, Thai massage, Manual Lymph Drainage, Reiki, and Shamanic healing, for the past 20 years. From 2003 to 2006, she lived in Hawaii where she had the opportunity to learn the traditional Hawaiian bodywork, Lomilomi. This fluid and graceful style of massage remains a strong influence in her work today. She provides a balanced blend of relaxation and therapeutic techniques, and her clients often report that in addition to relieving their physical complaints, the treatment is deeply healing on emotional/spiritual levels. She has an intuitive, sensitive and compassionate touch that helps the client to access their own inner resources for healing.
Heather Finlayson, RMT
Heather Finlayson began studying TCM in 2003 while studying Jin Shin Do Acupressure at the Canadian Acupressure Institute, Victoria B.C. While out West she also studied Reiki, Reflexology, and Rain Drop Therapy. Coming to Toronto, Heather enrolled at the Shiatsu School of Canada; where she has completed Shiatsu. She since has completed the Massage Therapy program at Kikkawa College, and studied Thai massage and Sports massage as her elective studies at Kikkawa.
Heather is very compassionate in her work and often combines modalities to give a uniquely tailored treatment for each individuals needs. Heather is also offers cosmetic acupressure facials that relax and rejuvenate, balance complexion, reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eye, acne, wrinkles, and scars.
Gaeton Girard C Ped (C)
Gaetan Girard has been a C Ped C since 2005. Before he became certified as a Pedorthist, Gaetan worked as a lab technician fabricating orthotics, starting in 1998. It was his love and appreciation of the craftsmanship required to make an orthotic that changed his career. By providing patients with a medical device that helped them become more comfortable, active, or pain-free, Gaetan felt the rewards of helping people. This love for helping people grew and he developed an interest in the biomechanics of the body. It is the combination of art and science that drives him to help people and brings him the greatest level of satisfaction. His work experience is extensive, and his knowledge of footwear, compression stockings and other medical devices such as braces, give him a versatile and integrative edge for treating his patients. Gaetan’s contribution to Seraphic is to provide high quality foot care and education to all his patients while promoting ideal lower limb health.
Jennifer is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Jennifer graduated from the Massage Therapy Diploma program at Sutherland Chan School & Teaching Clinic, having previously completed an honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto.
Jennifer has specific clinical experience working with pregnancy-related discomforts, and helping people find relief from symptoms of central nervous system disorders such as Parkinson’s and strokes. She has provided care for individuals who were undergoing treatment for malignancies, as well as a variety of musculoskeletal disorders. Jennifer views Massage Therapy as an important part of holistic health care: for the body and the mind.
Amanda Reid is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), and is in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Amanda believes that massage therapy can help patients minimize pain, increase mobility and help clients achieve better health.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, pursuing her passion to help people, Amanda graduated ICT Kikkawa College as a Registered Massage Therapist.
Amanda has extensive experience in massage therapy and has treated a range of ailments from, anxiety/depression, sports-related injuries to postural imbalances and chronic conditions and specific injuries including sprains, strains, tendonitis, headaches, low back or neck spasms. Amanda’s massage treatments use a combination of myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point release, neuromuscular techniques, sports techniques and traditional Swedish massage.
Rachel Logan, Registered Massage Therapist, BSc
Rachel is a registered massage therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She completed a massage therapy diploma from Sutherland Chan School & Teaching Clinic. She has been trained in Swedish techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger Points, Joint Mobilization and Therapeutic Exercises. She is passionate about continuing to learn and in developing new skills to better assist her clients reach their goals.
Andrea Domiciano is a Registered Massage Therapist graduated from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She is trained in numerous modalities, including general Swedish technique, deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, sports massage, trigger points treatment and pre- and post- natal massage. She has trained in various specialized techniques at several massage clinics including spinal cord injuries at Lynn Hurst Rehabilitation, cancer massage at Princess Margaret Lodge, Sports Massage at Surtherland-Chan clinic. Andrea is dedicated to providing excellent care and believes that educating her clients is an essential part of their overall wellness. She combines her extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology with passive stretching; myofascial work and deep tissue in her treatments to provide effective treatment that helps clients achieve their health goals. Andrea treats a wide variety of clients ranging from pregnancy, sports injuries and rehabilitation, acute and chronic pain management and relaxation.
Robin graduated from Kikkawa College, where she became proficient in Swedish massage, myofacial release, joint mobilization, and deep tissue massage. Robin's practice as a Massage Therapist is grounded in more than five years of experience in the social work field where she became acutely aware of the ways that social factors impact people’s bodies. This propelled her passion for Massage Therapy as an avenue for physical and emotional healing.
Robin's approach is to encourage soft tissues and joints to realign. In this way, the body is given a unique opportunity to release stored tension in the body as it uses its own wisdom to heal. Robin works within her client's comfort level to bring calm and rehabilitation to people experiencing a range of issues, including postural pain, sports or other injuries, headaches and migraines, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Robin also understands Massage Therapy to be preventative in its ability to increase well-being through general relaxation treatments.
Christina De Sousa Yoga Instructor
Christina completed her Teacher Training at Yoga Space in Toronto with Kathryn Beet and Patricia White. Having taken up the practice in search of a way to cope with the everyday challenges of life, she always left Yoga classes wanting to come back for more.
The sense of calm, peace, and physical well-being left her inspired to pursue her teacher training. She is lively, has a bright smile, and feels honored to be able to share the experience of yoga.
